Department the intern will be workingQuezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Job Description1To assist in the professional and social integration of excluded and vulnerable young people, the trainee will plan and facilitate training sessions which will cover English, General Knowledge and Basic Computer Skills
Job Description2Prepare lessons covering basic to high school level English which will be taught by the trainee to a class of maximum 20 out-of-school youth age 15 to 25.
Job Description3Arrange one-on-one sessions with the out-of-school youth to coach them in public speaking and to stage mock job interviews.
Job Description4Prepare General Knowledge lessons covering basic World History, Science, Geography and recent events which will be taught by the trainee to a class of maximum 20 out-of-school youth age 15-25.
Job Description5Prepare Basic Computer Skills lessons covering Microsoft Office but focusing on Microsoft Excel which will be taught by the trainee to a maximum of 20 out-of-school youth age 15-25.
Job Description6Arrange film viewing sessions with a discussion or debate about the content of the film.
Measurable results expected from the internThe trainee will be evaluated through the assessment of the center head of the progress of the out-of-school youth under the tutelage of the trainee.
Preparation required from the intern before arrivalThe trainee only needs the required or preferred knowledge and skills; no additional preparation or training required.
