Department the intern will be working | Project Management |
Job Description1 | Be involve in 4 projects ( 1 of the projects will be the main focus of the intern) , brainstorming for learning activities. Plan, design and prepare workshops related to Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficient (EE), HIV & AIDS, Social Development and Cultural Understanding education to raise awareness among peers and youths with the age 5 – 30 years old based on a holistic education model provided by our active partner CETREE and AARG. Note: CETREE will be providing demonstration equipment such as solar panel, toys, van or buses that are related to issue discuss and training. |
Job Description2 | Conduct and facilitate workshops,interactive class,etc to youths,mainly focusing in schools, colleges, universities. Be prepare to adjust the module based on needs and share your country culture. |
Job Description3 | Be ready to be involved in sales and partnership meets. Learns on how to promote and enhance social projects to externals. Weekly/daily report must be submitted to the respective Projects Directors. |
Job Description4 | Interns will be given opportunities to participate in host LC activities if any within the internship period, be part of any available integration activities and cultural events. |
Job Description5 | Work with the LC members for the documentation and transition,updating them your progress and share about your experience in our social media. Interns are required to attend weekly meeting. |
Job Description6 | Interns are given opportunities to learn from professional NGO,exp:participate their workshop or road show all around Malaysia (require to travel a lot), with the permission of LC member. |
Measurable results expected from the intern | Intern is expected to participate activities and events of the 4 projects, working with other interns in a group of maximum 12 interns, attend weekly meeting and summit require documentation for the LC. |
Preparation required from the intern before arrival | We are looking for someone who is passionate about educating the youth, or have the passion of these three issues, and are able to communicate with youths and adults of varying age group. Interns are expected to have basic knowledge and experience in conducting workshops, with good communication skill, and are adaptable to the cultural differences. Do bring your own laptop and if possible camera to record your journey. Interns are given much freedom, and are expected to be independence, with a little monitoring from LC. On the first week interns will be guide and transit by LC member but are expected to perform start on the second week. We may conduct cultural sharing event, thus it is strongly encourage for you to bring your traditional dress, food, and anything which is strongly represent your country culture. |

Other Details of the Working Conditions | 1. Workspace provided, Air Conditioning room in office 2. Interns having chances to take up leadership role upon the exchange experience. (Interns are require to mention which issue are preferred to work with while being interview) 3. VISA application provided (fee paid by intern with terms and condition apply) 4. Internet Access provided 5. Other Conditions: Accommodation, RM13.00 per day. - Food is not provided. - Work-related travel costs and expenses are covered. - The AIESEC Office is located in the university campus which is about 20 minutes walk from the place of accommodation. - On weekdays, the university free shuttle bus service is on an hourly basis and the journey is about 20 minutes. |
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship | Current reality of environmental, social development,health and cultural issues in Malaysia. Experience the diversity of the Malaysian culture. Establish potential networking abroad. During this internship, the interns will gain leadership skills, presentation skills, project management skills, facilitating skills and event management skills. The greatest life changing experience is living in the multi-cultural country and has the opportunities to interact with Malaysian from different races, religions and lifestyles.
