About INTERNATIONAL KINDERGARTEN BYDGOSZCZ
International Kindergarten is an innovation in AIESEC Poland, and is directed to kindergartens. The main task of the project are exchange of cultural, language, arts and crafts experience, promote cultural understanding, extend and promote idea of voluntary work and entrepreneurship, enhance social abilities by working in a global environment. Main idea of the project is connection children at the age between 3-6 years and international environment in daily live. We truly believe that grow up in muli-culture environment bring benefits for further live.

Department the intern will be working

Job Description1
From the 18th of June till the 28th of July 2012 the volunteer will be running animated workshops in kindergartens in Bydgoszcz. Three kindergartens, two weeks in each of them. Some activities ought to be prepared in advance, before arrival.
Job Description2
Intern will be working 5h a day, with small groups of children age 3-6.Some with minor disabilities.The workshops should be divided into age groups,concerning the children's level of development.

The subjects of the activities should revolve around diversity and languages. This could be achieved through teaching children customs, songs, games, and dances from his /her country.

Use of traditional clothes, food and beverages, brochures, gadgets as well as other useful materials is also advisable.

To cover the linguistic aspect of the programme, by playing and using every day activities in kindergarten volunteer should teach children English and basic words form his/her country.

Trainee should take part in activities included in the project e.g. events organized by International Kindergarten.Intern should bring a health confirmation that he/she is able to work with children.
Measurable results expected from the intern
It is expected that after the project kids know a lot about the country of their guest, they have greater understanding of cultural diversity. Children know more words in English, new songs and games. Kindergartens are satisfied with the work of the volunteer, have positive image of the organisation and are willing to cooperate with AIESEC in the future. Preparation required from the intern before arrival
The volunteer is expected to prepare a programme of his/her activities and send it to his/her TN manager before arrival, so that kindergartens know what to expect. It is also required that he/ she brings with him materials that are required to deliver the programme. National clothes, picture and souvenirs of his/her country are also desirable.

Other Details of the Working Conditions
Accommodation for the duration of the project will be provided. Two meals while at work will be guaranteed. Only one during the weekend. There will be a person in each kindergarten responsible for taking care of the person taking part in the programme. Such materials as stationary necessary for the activities (e.g. flipcharts, markers, crayons, and scissors) will be available. Internet Access and computer will be available in AIESEC office, but having own laptop is advisable.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship
Organisational skills, time management skills, auto presentation skills, interpersonal skills, working with children, learning about Polish culture.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship
International Kindergarten is a project aimed at early school age children. We created it with a view to early education by promoting among other values cultural diversity. In order to participate in the project excellent English is required. Trainee should arrive with a valid medical insurance for the total period of the internship. Volunteer should arrive in Poland at least one day before the start of the programme, which is 16.06.2012. Except from the work, a trainee will have a chance to participate in Local Committee Events and other activities, such as sightseeing, visits to reception weekends, parties and even much more.
