Job Description1
The intern will work in conservation areas (beaches or biological reserves) or social development projects (in low-income societies).The projects are focused on animals, socialwork or works of development in the conservation area.

Work with people from different countries on the same project, so the intern will be working together to achieve the objectives of the assigned tasks.

Plan strategies to achieve the purposes of the job effectively and efficiently

Learn the importance and role of conservation areas in a country like Costa Rica.

The working hours are variable depending on the project, the intern will live close to beaches and conservation areas.

Provide technical and professional supports in the assigned project, the projects are attractive and all have focused on creating positive impact in society and the environment.
Measurable results expected from the intern
The intern will improve social skills. A successful measure of the project will be the understanding of the importance of conservation. The intern will live an intense cultural, social and physical experience and will let you have an impact on society.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival
This project it is an experience of living close with nature and society. In order to increase the experience we recommended that the intern must have not health problems that interrupt your stay.

Accommodation and one meal per day are included in the project, at the same time the interns will have one week off in order to spend this time on any extracurricular activity chosen by the intern.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship
Social and environmental awareness. Also, the intern will gain skills to work in teams and skills to solve issues effectively and efficiently. Aside, the intern will be involved in a different culture where he/she will meet people from different countries that will be working on the same projects.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship
The intern under a special modality may receive full feeding, and may also be part of an organized activity between the LC UCR and the association Raleigh-Costa Rica, this activity will be focused to be backpacking for a week in Costa Rica.
