Eco Tourism is a joint project between AIESEC UI and AIESEC Bandung. The project is about promoting and developing the tourism places and environment in both Jakarta and Bandung. Participants will explore the tourism places as well as helping the environment and tell the whole world about it.

At the first week, the interns will be having a traning and a pre-project trip to a place in Jakarta.

The interns should make a documentation about their adventure in Jakarta and Bandung and have to do a campaign to promote their work to which will be competed between the other interns.

The interns will make an artwork about environment and exhibit it in public places that we will decide where.

The interns will be giving a workshop for elementary school students about environment in Nangor, Bandung.

The interns will be contributing themselves into some green acts such as planting trees.

The interns will be visiting a rural area in Clincing, Jakarta to make unique traditional handicratfs.
Measurable results expected from the intern
The interns will learn how to respect their surroundings environment and see the other perspective of eco-tourism. They also will gain knowledge about Indonesian tourism.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival
The interns have to bring video camera and laptop to support the sustainability of the project. Trainee is required to prepare him/herself in terms of training and facilitating skills and additional events like Global Village (information, traditional stuffs, traditional clothes, traditional dances, food and beverages). The interns must have travel insurances. The budget estimation for the whole project is about IDR 6.000.000 (USD 660) (including pre-project trip and food and transport fee for the whole 6 weeks) which is the interns’ responsibility. If interns plan to go traveling around Jakarta and Bandung on weekend or even out of town after the project ends, they need to bring more money.

1. Internet is available only in internet cafe or places with Wifi. It also might be available for interns who want to live in host family who has the internet connection (we cannot guarantee every host family that we provide has internet connection, but we’ll try to provide each host family having it). 2. Discovering Bandung and Jakarta’s tourism places and cultures, promotion skill, editing skill, how to adapt in a new environment, building the team spirit. Becoming more aware of eco-tourism issues, especially the ones in Indonesia

Good English is required. Trainees must have to be able to develop the potential unapproachable nature resources in Indonesia and promote it to the world by using all of the social medias available nowadays.

The summer camp name is SPARTA and it is situated in Yalta, Crimea near the sea. Your internship will be 7 weeks and there are several shifts during this time. Each shift has its theme, for example Matrix or Pirates of Caribbean, etc. You will find out this information later. There will be one person from AIESEC responsible for you. Summer camp requires enthusiastic people who love to work with children. There is indicated that you will work 35 hours, however all your time you will spend with other international volunteers and children. Camp is really offering an interesting program and you will have a chance to take an active part in it! If you are in search of challenges and adventures, you will love this experience! "People Team" is a foundation organizing a series of summer camps in various topics for children of age 7-17. There are 4 one-week long camps starting from the 1st of July.

Kopino Foundation shall provide free food and accommodation in a dorm-type room to share with 3 other volunteers. It is also possible that interns may live with other Kopino volunteers who are based in Quezon City.
