Measurable results expected from the intern
|
The intern would be able to understand more about the community development in Malaysia as well as exchanging cultural understanding with AIESECers in Malaysia. They will contribute valuable and practical ideas on how to develop a better community development programme.

Be patient, do some research on how to take care and give care on handicapped resident.

Will work at 2 different place, which is Plastic Education Center and the House itself.

The intern would be able to understand more about the community development in Malaysia as well as exchanging cultural understanding with AIESECers in Malaysia. They will contribute valuable and practical ideas on how to develop a better community development programme.

Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship
|
We are looking for someone who is passionate in the issue of disabilities and has ideas to create awareness among youth and adults. We are also looking for someone who has adequate experience and facilitating skills. Creativity is needed as well. As Interns will be in touch with people of mentally and physically disabled, patience, compasionate heart. The intern will be able to learn practical knowledge on physiotherapy and they will obtain extra knowledge on project and event management with the guidance from AIESEC executive board The trainee should be patient, preferably able to play musical instrument(s) and basic knowledge on sign language. Working hours and days are flexible. Food, accommodation and training on physiotherapy provided. Note: The organisation is a NGO for people with disability known as Johor Cheshire Home. The intern is will be getting in touch with residents which are mentally and physically disabled. Interns will face some communication problem with the residents as the residents may be facing some difficulties in understanding some words. So the intern has to be patient and has a empathy heart as well as having passion towards this internship.
