|
Exchange Participant’s main responsibility will be teaching basic English to the taxi drivers who work in different taxi stands.

Exchange Participant will teach some basic grammar rules and phrases which will be used by taxi drivers when they have foreigners in their taxies.

|
Exchange Participant will prepare documents and presentations which would be helpful in the lessons for the taxi drivers.

|
Exchange Participant will prepare and present his/her country's culture with all details in the orientation week and this will help the all interns know each other better.

|
Exchange Participant will prepare some dialogues which would be used to make simulations in the lessons and would be useful for the taxi drivers when they meet a foreigner in their taxies.

|
Exchange Participant will learn the grammar rules they will teach and improve some teaching skills. They will determine and be prepared how they will teach a certain subject before the lessons start.

Measurable results expected from the intern
|
All participants will be satisfied about this new project and taxi drivers will have basic English. At the end of the program, exchange participant will fill a survey about the experience and program. Participant might prepare some documents about the program in the end.
|

Preparation required from the intern before arrival
|
Participant should be prepared to take part in Global Village during the program. Participant should bring traditional clothes, food, beverages, brochures, gadgets and any other useful materials. Some part of the presentations should be prepared and send before coming to Turkey.

Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship
|
Exchange Participants may have chance to discover their abilities for teaching during the internship. They will have chance to teach the things that they already know and this will create a self confidence while they are speaking and having lessons with the taxi drivers. Besides they will live multiculturalism as the project aims to have 20 interns.

Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship
|
The intern should apply for AIESEC INTERNSHIP VISA for 7-8 weeks. The intern will get the needed documents right after matching. The intern has to get RESIDENCE PERMIT cost after his/her arrival to Turkey and need to pay around 100-200TL by him/herself. TO APPLY FOR INTERNATIONAL TAXI DRIVERS 2012 PROJECT: 1st Step: Write a motivation letter. 2nd Step: Prepare 10-Slide Presentation to answer the question of “Why should we choose you?” 3rd Step: Send your Motivation Letter and your presentation to "gamze.altin@aiesec.net". Final Step: If your application will be accepted, you will be able to attend an interview for ITD'12 Project.
