Job Description1
From July 2st till August 24th 2012 the intern will be running workshops in care centers in which there are organizing summer camps in the city. The main subjects of the workshops are: knowledge about other cultures, tolerance, counteracting racism and stereotypes. The main activities during the workshops will be different according to the age group. Younger children requires the workshops that should be more based on games or sport activities. The main aim is to explain them the differences between cultures and help to develop basic language skills. Whereas the older children will have classes on more serious issues like: tolerance, racism, etc. To turn their attention the activities should contain some interactive presentations.

The interns should come to Wroclaw approx. a 3 days before the start of the project. Together with the Polish team they will create the layout of the workshops and have trainings.

Intern also willl be responsible for teaching children English and some simple words and phrases form his/her native language.

The intern should prepare extra activities for the pupils, for example games, competitions, sports activities. The trainee should take part in additional activities and events at the cultural center.

The intern will be working and living with 8 other interns that will come to Wroclaw to participate in the project!

Measurable results expected from the intern
Obtaining work experience in the field of education. Introducing into the Polish educational system. Getting to know Polish culture and people. Also improvement of presentation skills. Intern will get experience about working with the children.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival
Trainee is required to prepare materials for artistic activities for 5 days and send it to TN manager before arrival. As well as prepare him/herself in terms of training and facilitating skills and additional events like Global Village (information, traditional dances, food and beverages). Trainee have to arrive to Poland at least 3 days before language classes start.

Accommodation and food are provided. We are to provide the trainees with best conditions to familiarize with polish culture, organize lots of additional integration events and easy contact with other trainees working in our country. We also provide an accommodation. The Student will have a lot of fun having contact with polish youth and it’s a great chance to get some new experience and make friends. Working with children brings lots of satisfaction and for sure loads of energy. The advantages will be at both sides. The knowledge that participants can give children will be irreplaceable. However the interns will gain a lot of experience how to cope in different situations.
