Job Description1The intern will play a key role in supporting Escojo activities and strengthening COIN Juventud's HIV prevention education program. He/she will meet regularly with the trained peer educators and guide them in designing and implementing their activities
Job Description2The volunteer will help strengthen the groups coordinating them in order to have a team of peer educators who can design, plan, coordinate, and implement HIV prevention activities without assistance.
Job Description3The volunteer will guide the peer education team in managing their small budget and wise fund-management.
Job Description4The volunteer will provide support during the recruitment and training. He/she will be an advisor while empowering the youth to make the major decisions and determine their own vision.
Job Description5The volunteer will guide the group in its outreach efforts and its work to establish relationships with the target populations of the neighborhoods in which Escojo works.
Job Description6The volunteer will teach the group how to document its activities – guiding them in report writing, picture taking, and development of a portfolio.
Measurable results expected from the internA currently informal, youth-led event management group will be legally registered and stregthened into a fromal social entreprise.Group members will be able to create a formal organizational structured and designed a business plan.Group will be able to market their serviciies and manage their clients.

Other Details of the Working ConditionsFood and accommodation wll be provided by the host NGO "Centro de Orientacion e Investigation Integral" where the intern will work.

Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship"Achieving Impact" is a National Project of AIESEC in Dominican Republic. The main idea of the project is to help the local NGOs from all the country through the knowledge and experience of AIESECers that will work as interns in their NGOs. "Centro de Orientacion e Investigation Integral" is the host NGO where the intern will work. He will be involved mainly in "HIV/STI Prevention Education Initiative Project."
