Job Description1International Kindergarten is a DT Pbox project. Its aim is to widespread cultural understanding, tolerance and respect for divesity thanks to work of 7 interns from different countries.
Job Description2You'll work with children in kindergartens (3-6 yo) or primary schools (7-12 yo),if will be needed,in Szczecin or near it,teaching them about your culture,cooking with them,playing games,singing etc
Job Description3You may also be asked to teach English or your native language during simple actions.
Job Description4Acommodation and food is provided (or weekly wage about 25-35 PLN). You should prepare some money for public transport (it's cheapier if you have ISIC).
Job Description5You're supposed to pay refundable (200 PLN) deposit for the flat so we can pay for any damages to the owner.
Job Description6You should have essential artistic skills (to draw, sing etc. with kids) and know games, songs, dances.It would be nice if you had some more skills (eg. playing an instrument) or you were an animator.
Measurable results expected from the internExperiance in working with children. More self-confidence and presentation skills. Sightseeing in Poland. Many Polish friends :)
Preparation required from the intern before arrivalYou should prepare some weekly activities plan for each day (with games, dances, songs you prepare for that days) and/or presentation (for kindergartens after you've been matched. You have to prepare presentation about your culture if you work in primary school. You're supposed to take some souvenirs or characteristic items from your country to present it to children. You should be prepared to work with children: know their behaviour and how to act in different problematic situations.

Other Details of the Working ConditionsAcommodation and food is provided. We'll try to familiarize you with Polish culture best we can, as well as give you a lot of fun while integrating with Poles and other trainees. Working with children brings lots of satisfaction and for sure loads of energy.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internshipYou'll become more self-confident, empathic, responsible. You'll be better in organizing, working with children and you'll get to know Polish hospitile hospitable culture.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship1 PLN is about 3 USD (current state is 1 PLN=2.81 USD on 27-06-2011). Szczecin is situated in North-Western part of Poland close to Berlin and Baltic Sea. Our LC is famous for great DT projects and great atmosphere.
