Department the intern will be working	Various Operations
Job Description1	Coraes Central Public Library in Chios is one of the biggest and most historical Public Libraries around Greece. The Library possesses numerous and valuable documents since its foundation in 1792.
Job Description2	One main task of the Intern will be digitization of hand written books and documents. Also right numeration, allocation and management of old and rear book collections and documents.
Job Description3	Promotion of the Library’s actions and gentle purposes through the Library’s website. Tactical updating and developing of the website concerning any events and news about the Library.
Job Description4	Organizing events at the Library in order to develop the educational part and create awareness in students of Public Schools ( Cultural Differences etc ).
Job Description5	The Intern must compare the Public Libraries of his country and make a presentation about diversification. Also, the Intern will try to contact Libraries from abroad in order to collect useful inputs.
Job Description6	Fund raising in order to help improving the processes, securing financial sustainability of the Library and have the chance to interact and communicate with every visitor-tourist of the Library.
Measurable results expected from the intern	Number of Documents digitized and useful ideas or inputs gathered from other Libraries, even though they are not measurable. Funds raised during the Internship and amount of money.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival	Intern should love the impact and meaning of old books in general. Also Intern should bring his/her own laptop.

Other Details of the Working Conditions	The Intern will have the chance to work on a really unique environment in the Library. The Library is located in the center of Chios Town.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship	Huge cultural understanding after getting in contact with one of Greece’s most traditional buildings and monuments. Have the chance to work with another Intern and complete specific tasks and Projects together.
