Die Kita Glühwürmchen e.V. ist eine Kindertagesstätte im Norden Münsters. Betreut werden zwei altersgemischte Gruppen mit bis zu 20 Kindern zwischen 2 und 6 Jahren. Der Verein „Die Glühwürmchen“ ist eine Elterninitiative, bei der Engagement erwünscht ist. Eltern haben hier das Recht, aber auch die Pflicht, sich einzubringen, Aufgaben zu übernehmen und den Alltag und das Umfeld ihrer Kinder auf diese Weise mit zu gestalten.

Job Description1	The interns present their country to the children of the kindergarden. Show some dances and songs that are typical of you country. Apart from that you could also also teach the children some basic words of your language. Make them excited about other cultures ;)
Job Description2	Apart from presenting their cultures, the interns will work in one kindergarden group and carry out daily activities in the group.
Job Description3	Daily work could include board games, doing handcrafts or helping with breakfast/lunch.

Measurable results expected from the intern	Make the children excited about other cultures
Preparation required from the intern before arrival	Maybe you can bring some pictures from you, your family and your country in order to show them to the children.

Other Details of the Working Conditions	There are many host families that are interested in hosting an international AIESECer during his time in Germany for free. Also a daily lunch in the kindergarden will be provided, as well as a bus ticket to get to work. BUT in case no host family has vacancies during your stay, you might have to pay for housing yourself, which is about €250 each month. This is highly unlikely though, because many families are interested.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship	The intern will get insights into basic educational skills, group work and daily work with children.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship	There is no work experience or a specific course of studies required, but of course you should be childfriendly.
