Job Description
Department the intern will be workingSchools
Job Description1All interns are expected in Thailand by 13th Jan 2012.During the Opening Week interns will participate in a variety of activities organized by academic teachers and AIESEC.
Job Description2Work closely with the schools and take part in the general school activities when required.
Job Description3Teaching English to the students. Please note that the students and the teachers do not or have basic knowledge of English.
Job Description4Prepare, plan and present lessons to the students. Please Note that most of these schools have basic conditions and so may not have items such as projectors.
Job Description5The interns shall prepare and present sessions on their country/culture to the students.
Job Description6Take part in the writing of the SMILE Project - 4th Edition Report at the end of the internship.
Measurable results expected from the internInterns should be able to live and work under basic social and physical conditions. Involve students into speaking English, let them be aware of world issues and "SMILE IIII to each other". Ability to work in groups, teams an also as individuals. Ability to teach your culture and also being able and open to experiencing the cultures of others.
Preparation required from the intern before arrivalRead the file on the TN form that has more details/overview of the SMILE Project - 4th Edition. Also we encourage you to read the National Reception Wiki and Reception Booklet which have more information about Thailand.

Other Details of the Working ConditionsWe encourage interns to bring interesting material to help them represent their culture to the students. Accommodation will be provided during internship and you will stay in the community with host families or dormitories in schools.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internshipAbility to live and work under basic social and physical standards of living. The interns will improve their presentation and facilitation skills. As part of the Global Community Development Program, interns will be cultural and educational ambassadors to their countries. Finally interns will have the chance to be part of the SMILES of the Thai people.
