About Get In Shape, Get In Character (GSGC) |
Get in Shape, Get in Character - is a program designed to help high school students to enhance and alter their life to the better. It aims to promote fitness and healthy life style in the lives of the youth of Qatar, by designing a full program that would provide professionals who will help the students to practice; healthy life style, right nutrition and exercises routines, in addition to life coaching and career counselling. At the end of the program, the selected group would gain all the needed information and practical behaviours that would insure them a healthier life style and promoting for those behaviours in their schools and homes. The program is helping the students and the youth in general to be aware of the unhealthy life style that would lead to diabetes, cancer and many other health problems. |

Department the intern will be working | Get In Shape Get In Character Project - Enhance Your Life, Enhance Your Character! |
Job Description1 | Responsible for organizing a health oriented program by the name of GISGIC with its two sections: 1- 'I am Habit'- an awareness campaign. 2- 'Get in Shape Get in Character' Camp along with AIESEC Qatar's members. |
Job Description2 | To target the bad habits of students regarding their health life style and life skills and take necessary measurements to eliminate these bad habits. |
Job Description3 | To do a goal setting during sessions in order to find out about dreams of the students and to provide them with the guidance on how they can achieve them. |
Job Description4 | To hold session about competent life skills such as efficient communication skills to the students and other skills the students in need for their development. |
Job Description5 | To build up a structure of a two-weeks camp for 30 girls for eight hours per day, including diverse sessions about Life Skills and Healthy Life Style. |
Job Description6 | To design games activities and competitions to help the students to implement what they are learning into their own lives. |
Measurable results expected from the intern | 100% delivery of awareness campaigns. To conduct energetic and exciting sessions. Successfully lunched camp. To provide students with beneficent guidance about competent life skills, healthy life style, communication skills and how they can achieve their dreams and aims. |
Preparation required from the intern before arrival | To conduct own research about the Qatari culture and traditions in order to adapt to the environment easier. Read about the health issues in the region regarding the youth.Research about the health associations in the country e.g.: Qatar Diabetes Association. |

Other Details of the Working Conditions | The intern will not be provided with neither workplace nor personal workplace. Hence interns are highly encouraged to bring own laptop for working purposes. Apart from internship works, most likely interns maybe working from home or in university. Accommodation, and pocket money for food will be provided however. |
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship | The intern will have a comprehensive understanding and ability of how to hold and run sessions, Meet diverse people and posses a wide corporate network of contacts, and develop the bases of networking. |

Transportation, food and accommodation will be provided by AIESEC Qatar. Interns will be working with the AIESEC Qatar members. |
