Department the intern will be workingLiving with HIV
Job Description1Receiving trainings on HIV/AIDS by experts from NGOs. Self-research is required to get deeper understanding concerning HIV/AIDS situation in Vietnam in general and in Hanoi in particular.
Job Description2Main responsibility of designing, building content for workshops and presenting about HIV/AIDS to raise awareness and motivate students to take action about the situation in Vietnam.
Job Description3Communicating and negotiating with NGOs to propose collaboration with AIESEC in terms of consultancy on HIV/AIDS.
Job Description4Involving in planning and building content and holding “HIV Red Day” an one day event of which the aim is to spread awareness about HIV among society.
Job Description5Participating in charity trips to Social Labor Center II where adopt HIV positive children. Building up sympathy and understanding clearly the difficulties of children in the center.
Job Description6Involving in several activities of AIESEC in Hanoi Foreign Trade University.
Measurable results expected from the internLocal goal is to educate 2000 peers in Hanoi in 10 weeks with 50-70 participants in each workshop. They are also expected to raise students’ awareness about HIV/AIDS and motivate them to take action about the issue in Vietnam. The number of students participating in “HIV Red Day” and the Charity trips will be one tool to measure the efficiency of our program.
Preparation required from the intern before arrivalWe look for the interns who are passionate and enthusiastic about social issues. Want to make a change in the mindset of young people about HIV/AIDS. Desire to fight against stigma and discrimination. Moreover, because in the “HIV Red Day”, each intern will be an ambassador of his/her country presenting about the current HIV/AIDS situation in the country. Therefore, pictures, data, videos… and any other materials related to HIV situation in their country are also required to be bring to Vietnam.

Other Details of the Working Conditions2.Other Conditions:Free Accommodation with homestay program. Support part of living cost. Very supportive, people-oriented and cultural working environment 3.Interns are required to bring their own laptops to work.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship- Current reality of HIV/AIDS in Vietnam/Asia - Experience in facilitating a crowd of Asian students – Being able to work with a multicultural group – Seeing a project from conception through to completion -Experiencing Vietnamese culture and other cultures
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the InternshipThe eligibility of the EP is based on the adaptable nature and cultural sensitivity of the EP. Another important aspect is the level of zeal, enthusiasm and commitment shown by the candidate to learn more about the issue
