Department the intern will be working	Education: elementary schools
Job Description1	Cultural education, providing information about intern culture.
Job Description2	Support of teaching English and teaching some phrases & words from intern´s language.
Job Description3	Working in afternoon youth center and school club and spending time with 6-10 years old kids during their free time after school.
Job Description4	Possibility to attend the classes - history, geography, religion etc. and presenting some topics from intern´s country.
Job Description5	Preparation of workshops and different types of games and activities.
Job Description6	Participating in organising of final activities of the project - global village in city center or shopping centre and final conference of the project for partners and public.
Measurable results expected from the intern	Interns will spend each week in a different school. The aim of this project is to raise cultural awareness and teach the children in each school more about other cultures and make them actively communicate in English. The presentation must be interactive to be able to catch the children’s attention. Intern is expected to prepare a presentation about yourself and your country and present it to children as well as prepare workshops, discussions etc. to given topics. Satisfaction survey of the pupils and schools after project.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival	Collect information about given topics which the schools request, gather pictures from your life and about your country and bring requested typical items / souvenirs from your country. Working virtualy with other interns before arrival.

Other Details of the Working Conditions	Accommodation and one meal per day (during working at schools) is provided for free. Meals during weekends, fly tickets, transporation costs and legislation costs are not covered.Interns will be living toghether at university dorm during whole realisation of the project that is close to all schools in a city.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship	1) Work with children 2) Work in international team 3) Presentation, communication, teaching and organizing skills 4)Project management skills 4)New culture, traditions and language.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship	4 interns from different continents will participate on the project which will take place in 4 different elementary schools. The internship will last 6 weeks. On the first week there will be a preparation seminar which will prepare the interns for specific requirements of each school concerning discussion topics and forms of presentation. The group of interns will spend the next four weeks together in schools, each week in a different one.The last week will be focused on preparation of the final conference for partners of the project and preparation of globall village for public of Banská Bystrica in shopping centre or somewhere in Banská Bystrica. Interns have to bring their own computer. Possibility of attending weekend cottage with other 5 interns from project EDUCATE Slovakia: My World - costs also not covered. The intern must have a positive relationship with children and previous working experience in a similar organization. Adapt the teaching for small kids who are not skilled in English with various games, activities full of images etc.
